Time : 2019-08-22

On August 21, 2019, the 26th Beijing International Book Fair, the 17th Beijing International Book Festival, and the 9th China Digital Publishing Expo opened in the new hall of China International Exhibition Center (Tianzhu).  On the afternoon of the same day, China-Africa Institute, China Social Sciences Press (CSSP) and Taylor&Francis Group-Routledge held the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation in the Beijing International Book Fair.

On the signing ceremony, Li Xinfeng, Executive Vice-President of the China-Africa Institute made a speech and highly praised that CSSP and Taylor&Francis Group-Routledge are famous Chinese and British academic presses, which enjoy the high reputation in Chinese and global academia, and make important contributions to the world academic research.  Li Xinfeng pointed out that China-Africa Institute and CSSP are traditional cooperation partners and maintain a close cooperation relationship for a long time.  The tripartite cooperation agreement among China-Africa Institute, CSSP and Taylor&Francis Group-Routledge will serve as a powerful platform for the publishing of the academic achievements of the China-Africa Institute, further promoting the development of African studies in China, and greatly strengthening exchanges and communication with the international African research communities.

Wei Changbao, Editor-general of CSSP, and Jeremy North, President of the Global Book Business of Taylor&Francis Group, made the speeches respectively, indicating that the three parties will work closely to build a good platform for the “going global” of the academic achievements of the China-Africa Institute and the “bringing in” of international African research achievements, and make positive contributions to the communication and exchange of international African research circles.
