Ambassador Qi Qianjin Gave a Lecture on the Situation in Syria

On the morning of June 4, 2018, Mr. Qi Qianjin, Chinese Ambassador to Syria, was invited to give a lecture on current situation of Syria in the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies (IWAAS). Ambassador Qi made deep, vivid and comprehensive analyses on the development and evolution process of the situation in Syria, interests and policies of powers inside and outside the region in Syria, as well as China’s Syrian policy. He also answered questions from the floor. Professor Li Xinfeng, Deputy Director of IWAAS, presided over the lecture. Over 30 researchers, including Professor Yang Guang, Professor Wang Lincong and Professor Tang Zhichao, as well as graduate students from IWAAS participated in the lecture.
