IWAAS Delegation Made a Research in Oman

On September 19-24th, delegation of Institute of West-Asian and African Studies (IWAAS), led by Professor Yang Guang, visited Oman and made a research on the topic of “Promoting China-Oman Cooperation in Building the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative, Enriching and Strengthening China-Oman Strategic partnership”.

During its research, the delegation visited Duqm Special Economic Zone, China-Oman (Duqm) Industrial Park, Muscat Golden Dragon Trade City etc.; and had talks with Oman Foreign Ministry, Science, Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office of Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Information, Oman Central Bank, Ministry of Transport & Communications, Sultan Qaboos University and Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority etc.

The delegation’s research was highly valued by Oman government and greatly supported by China’s Embassy in Oman. During its research, Oman Minister of Information Abdulmun'em bin Mansour bin Said Hasani and Chinese Ambassador Yu Fulong respectively granted the delegation an interview.

Members of the delegation included Professor Yang Guang, Professor Wang Lincong, Professor Tang Zhichao, Associate Professor Chen Mo and Dr. Wang Jinyan.
