On April 23, 2019, Mr. Abdulaziz Ben Salman, Sub-Minister of Ministry of Culture and Information of Saudi Arab led a delegation to visit the Institue of West-Asian and African Studies (IWAAS), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and held talks with experts from the IWAAS around the topic “the Belt and Rad Initiative (B&R) and China-Saudi Relationship”. Professor Wang Lincong, Assistant of  General-Director of IWAAS, presided over the meeting and Professor Yu Guoqing, Professor Wangfeng, Professor Wang Jian, Associate Professor Liu Dong, Associate Professor Jiang Yingmei, Dr. Tong Fei, Dr. Zhang Bo, Dr. Ma Xueqing, Dr. Wang Jinyan, Dr. Qi Qiangfei attended.

　　First of all, Professor Wang Lincong introduced to the guests about the development and research focuses of IWAAS. Mr. Abdulaziz Ben Salman explained Saudi Arabia’s development plan from the perspective of historical development, the background and progress of the “New Deal” in Saudi Arabia at present stage.

　　Mr. Salman expressed his hope to further promote academic communication and cooperation with IWAAS. The two sides also exchanged ideas, viewpoints and information on how to strengthen the People-to-people Bonds and promote the B&R construction. The meeting got satisfactory effect as a result.

　　After the meeting, Mr. Abdulaziz Ben Salman and his delegation took pictures with experts from IWAAS.
