The Executive Vice President Li Xinfeng led a Delegation to Attend the Meeting and Research in Sudan

  On October 22, 2019, the Executive Vice President Li Xinfeng led a delegation of three scholars from the China-Africa Institute to investigate Sudan Management Department of China International Water and Electric Crop. Three members of the delegation had a discussion with General Manager Liu Yonggang of China International Water and Electric Crop Sudan Management Department. General Manager Liu Yonggang introduced the basic information of the company, the main water conservancy projects in Sudan and the operation situation to the delegation. The two sides also discussed the business environment in Sudan, China's experience in water conservancy projects in Sudan, the distribution of water resources between Sudan and neighboring countries and other issues. Members of the delegation Researcher Yang Baorong and Assistant researcher Liu Linzhi participated in the discussion and research.

  On October 23, 2019, the Executive Vice President Li Xinfeng led a delegation of three scholars from the China-Africa Institute to attend a seminar on the situation in Sudan hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sudan. At the seminar of the situation in Sudan, Chinese ambassador to Sudan Ma Xinmin, introduced the basic situation of the embassy of Sudan, the current political and economic situation and the trend of the development of China- Sudan relations. Meanwhile,12 experts and scholars from domestic five research institutes and colleges discussed about Sudan's political and economic situation, the tendency of the Sudanese foreign, China -Sudan cooperation in the future and other issues. The Executive Vice President Li Xinfeng, Researcher Yang Baorong, Assistant researcher Liu Linzhi has also made the keynote address. Experts and scholars attending the meeting hope that the embassy will institutionalize the meeting and hold similar meetings regularly every year to provide more impetus for the development of China - Sudan relations.

  On October 24, 2019, the Executive Vice President Li Xinfeng led a delegation of scholars from the China-Africa Institute to attend the international symposium on the “History, Current Situation and Future of China-Sudan Relations--in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment diplomatic relations of China-Sudan .Co-sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of the Sudan and the Arab-China friendship association, 21 experts and scholars from China and Sudan had in-depth discussions on Sudan's politics, foreign affairs, economic policies and prospects of China-Sudan relations, and put forward many constructive views and suggestions. The Executive Vice President Li Xinfeng delivered a keynote speech on “China-Sudan friendly cooperation: stages, characteristics and implications”. Researcher Yang Baorong and Assistant researcher Liu Linzhi also delivered keynote speeches on topics such as Sudan's economic development and the prospects and challenges of China-Sudan relations.
