Zhou Yunfan, vice-president of the China-Africa Institute (CAI) paid a visit to the Embassy of the United Republic Tanzania in Beijing on May 5, 2023. She met Mr. Mbelwa Kairuki, ambassador of the United Republic Tanzania to China and exchanged ideas about the upcoming visit to Tanzania of the Institute.

Zhou Yunfan introduced to Ambassador Kairuki about the CAI and its recent activities in academic exchanges. Mr. Kairuki said he would continue to support CAI and its exchanges with his country, and he was pleased to help promoting its cooperation with thinks tanks, universities and other research institutions in Tanzania. Both sides believed that academic exchanges between China and Tanzania would facilitate their capability to advise on policy makers for building a shared future of China and Africa.
