The International Exchanges Division is the operational department in charge of foreign affairs and international exchanges of the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies (IWAAS). It is mainly responsible for the management of foreign affairs and mapping out international exchange activities of IWAAS.

Terms of Reference:

(1) Managing the IWAAS foreign affairs, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan affairs;

(2) Coordinating the collaboration and cooperation with overseas experts and scholars to participate in academic events in China and receiving visits by foreign embassies and consulates as well as international organizations based in China;

(3) Managing affairs related to international exchanges of the IWAAS staff members including the visits to the foreign countries.

(4) Coordinating the organization of international academic conferences and foreign-related events.
