The Division of Economic Research was established in November 2019 to meet the needs of research development, combined all the economic researchers of the IWAAS, in accordance with the adjustment spirit of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The research field of the department mainly covers the macroeconomy, microeconomy, institutional economy, industrial economy and international economic cooperation of the area. The hot spots include The Belt and Road Initiative, production capacity cooperation, economic restructuring, energy and Mining Economy, finance, industrialization, trade, investment, risk assessment and so on. The Department of Economic Research currently has 9 researchers, include researcher Li Zhibiao, researcher Yao Guimei, researcher Wei Min, associate researcher Chen Mo, associate researcher Jiang Yingmei, associate researcher Park Yingji, and assistant researcher Zhang Chunyu, the Director of the division of Economic Research is Yang Baorong, and the deputy director is Liu Dong.
