Resume:
Prof. Dr. ZHU Weidong is currently working at the Section for International Relation Studies of the Institute of West Asia and African Studies. He got his LLM and Ph.D degree from Xiangtan University and Wuhan University in 2002 and 2005 respectively. Since 2002 he worked successively in Xiangtan University and Ocean University of China. His research mainly covers the laws in Africa, especially those legal issues relating to China-Africa business transactions, private international law, international commercial arbitration, cross-border dispute resolution. He has published many articles in these areas in some leading international journals such as Journal of African Law, Penant, Journal of Private International Law, Yearbook of Private International Law, Journal of International Arbitration, Tydskrif Vir Die Suid-Afrikaanse Reg, Asian International Arbitration Journal. Etc. He is also arbitrator of many arbitral institutions such as the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA), Qingdao Arbitration Commission.

Laws in Africa especially those relating to China-Africa business transactions;

Private International Law, International Commercial Arbitration, Cross-border dispute resolution.
