Resume: Zhao Yating (Female), Assistant Research Fellow of West-Asian and African Studies (IWAAS), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). She is a member of the Chinese Society of African Historical Studies.
Born in November 1988 in Xinjiang Province of China, She obtained Master of Law (2013) and Bachelor of law (2011) in School of International Studies, Renmin University of China. Zhao Yating has double Ph.D. From 2013-2017, she got Ph.D. in Law from School of International Studies, Renmin University of China. During her Ph.D., she received scholarship from China Scholarship Council that helped her study in Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. She signed the Joint Ph.D. degree contract and passed the dissertation defense successfully. In June, 2017, she got Ph.D. in Political Science from VUB. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on the Political Orientation and Its influence of the EU’s ODA to Africa.

 

Major Field of Research:
-International Relations between African countries with other powers, especially China-Africa relations and EU-Africa Relations;
-African development;
-Development Assistance to Africa;
