An Chunying(Female), Senior of editor, director of Editorial office of Institute of West-Asian and African Studies IWAAS, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences CASS. Also being secretary general of Research Society for African Problems.
Born in October 1966 in Heilongjiang Province of China. Both B.A. 1989 and M.A. 1992 degrees in Minzu University of China. From 1992  to 1995, worked at Training Centre of Beijing Subway Corporation as a teacher. Being an assistant research fellow in IWAAS, CASS from 1995 to 1999, then a research fellow from 2000 to 2009. Being a Senior editor from 2010 to the present. From Jan.- April.2004, served as a visiting scholar at Leiden University, The Netherlands, and also visited South Africa and Kenya, etc..
