Dr Liu Naiya was born in Huai’an Jiangsu Province. He received his Doctoral Degree in Peking University in 2000. He is now serving as Executive Director of South African Studies Centre, CASS. From 2011 to 2013, he was a senior diplomat at Chinese Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In 2007, as a visiting scholar, he visited Harvard, MIT, Yale, UCLA,University of California. Dr. Liu has, so far, published approximately 50 articles and chapters in books in his African field studies. He has also edited 14 books pertaining to the world famous novels.
