Resume:
Li Zhibiao (Male),Senior Research Fellow and Director of African Studies Section of Institute of West-Asian and African Studies (IWAAS), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor of CASS Graduate School. Vice President of China Association of African History Studies.
Born in September 1961 in Shanxi Province of China. Getting B.A. degree in history from Shanxi University in Taiyuan in 1984, M.A. degree in history from East China Normal University in Shanghai in 1987, and Ph.D. degree in history from Yunnan University in Kunming in 2010. Being Assistant Research Fellow in IWAAS from 1989 to 1997, Associate Research Fellow from 1997 to 2003 and Senior Research Fellow from 2003 to the present. Studying as a visiting scholar at University of Wisconsin-Madison in the U.S. from March 1990 to May 1991 and Tilburg University in the Netherlands from January to June 1999. Working as a first secretary at Chinese Embassy in Rwanda from July 2007 to May 2008 and Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia from June 2008 to July 2009. Serving as Director and Managing Editor of IWAAS official journal West Asia and Africa from June 1999 to September 2002, and Director of Social and Cultural Studies Section of IWAAS from March 2004 to July 2007 and September 2010 to June 2012.
